about

My name is Luc Van Dyck.

I am a Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central developer since 1997, living in Antwerp (Belgium). At that time, the product name was Navision, and the first version I got my hands on was Navision Financials 1.10.

In 1999, I started the website myNavision.net, which was rebranded to mibuso.com in 2002, after Microsoft bought Navision.

In 2009, me and some other fellows (waldo, Kurt, Ludo, Rodrigue and Patrick), started the user group “Belgian Dynamics Community” where we organized approx. 4 meetings a year to share knowledge and do some networking with drinks and food. After some years, the board was replaced and the user group slowly died.

For my community work, I received the Microsoft MVP award from 2004 till 2018.

In 2011, the first edition of a two-days conference NAV TechDays was born, now renamed to BC TechDays. This conference offers technical sessions for Business Central developers, and has more than 1000 participants coming from +40 countries. Conference sessions are recorded and can be viewed on our YouTube channel.

And when Twitter/X was bought by that South African guy, and rules and APIs changed almost daily, I started the Mastodon instance msdyn365bc.social so you could get a cool Mastodon account as @luc@msdyn365bc.social.
